This General Physics course introduces fundamental concepts used to describe and analyze natural phenomena. It begins with physical quantities, units, measurement systems, and vector analysis, which provide the mathematical foundation for solving physical problems. The course then explores kinematics of translational motion, focusing on displacement, velocity, acceleration, and motion under constant acceleration. Dynamics of a particle is studied through Newton’s laws of motion, forces, friction, and circular motion. The principles of work, energy, and power are examined, including conservation of energy and mechanical efficiency. Finally, the course covers the concept of heat and calorimetry, basic thermodynamic processes, and introduces fundamental ideas in electricity and optics, including electric circuits, light propagation, reflection, and refraction.
