This unit introduces students to contemporary practices and issues in the strategic management of procurement and logistics in the supply chain. The unit is designed to link with strategic management units and operations management units and provide fundamental knowledge of supply chain management in the contemporary business sphere.
The general objective of the course is to enable students analyse the importance of physical stock and related inventory in the supply chain, while reviewing methods, techniques and factors relating to transportation and distribution of goods.
