Welcome to this module of Applied Crop Husbandry. At the end of this course, students will be able to: (1) explain the principles of crop growth, development, and environmental interactions, (2) identify major crop production systems and the factors that influence yield and sustainability and (3) describe best practices in soil preparation, seed selection, planting, irrigation, fertilization, and pest/weed management. You will cover the important topics including maize value chains, horticultural crops and the principles of seeds production.
